THE CONSUL PROGRAM NEW JERSEY
The Consul Program New Jersey was founded in June 2004 at the Center for International Business and Education (CIBE) at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) and developed in collaboration with government, academic and business organizations and leaders across the state of New Jersey. Our mission is to be a collaborative community across business, academic and government sectors on a local and global basis in order to engage with foreign economies and their leaders for mutual benefit. We facilitate the development of trusting relationships directly among participants and through Foreign Consular Officials who represent Commerce, Technology, Trade & Education Ministries. The goal is to stimulate co-development, joint research, licensing, strategic alliances, commerce and investment. We 'set the table', gather thought leaders, and offer possibilities so that participants can find new collaborators and new projects. More, we showcase New Jersey as an important global center for innovation and collaboration. Leaders from over 50 foreign economies have participated to date (see Past Consulates) together with New Jersey leaders from a range of organizations. (see Past Speakers).
